Day 1 : Natore Rajbari, Puthia Temple City & Rajshahi.
Your day begins early as our friendly, professional guide greets you at your location. From there, we’ll embark on a scenic 5-hour drive towards the captivating North Bengal region.Our first stop is the historic Natore Rajbari—one of the most prominent and oldest royal palaces in the area, rich in architectural charm and legacy.After enjoying lunch, we head to Puthia, famously known as the ‘Temple City’ of Bangladesh. This unique village holds the highest concentration of ancient Hindu temples in the country. You’ll explore the majestic Shiva Temple—one of the largest in the region—and the beautifully adorned Govinda Temple, set within the elegant courtyard of an old Rajbari, decorated with intricate terracotta artwork.In the evening, we continue our journey to Rajshahi city, where we’ll settle in for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Paharpur Monastery, Mahasthangarh Ruins & Kusumba Mosque
Today, we head to Paharpur to explore one of Bangladesh’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites—Sompura Mahavihara, also known as Paharpur Buddhist Vihara. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic countryside views filled with lush vegetable and fruit fields. The picturesque betel leaf gardens are particularly photogenic and offer a glimpse into rural life.En route, we stop at the beautiful Kusumba Mosque, an architectural gem from the Afghan period of Bengal, renowned for its stone craftsmanship and historical significance.Our highlight for the day is the Paharpur Vihara, an 8th-century Buddhist monastery that once stood as the largest of its kind south of the Himalayas. This majestic archaeological site is unmatched in its scale and historical value in the region.After lunch, we continue to Bogra to explore Mahasthangarh, the oldest known city in Bangladesh, dating back to at least the 3rd century BCE. While most of the site now consists of ancient foundations and grassy mounds, it hints at a glorious past. The Mahasthangarh site museum offers fascinating artifacts that bring the history to life, and Behula Bashor Ghor, steeped in folklore, is a must-see within the complex.We’ll wrap up the day with a serene visit to Vasu Vihara, another ancient Buddhist ruin. As the sun sets over the surrounding fields, you’ll experience the quiet beauty of Bangladesh’s rural heritage.Overnight stay in Bogra.
Day 3: Navratna Temple, Jamuna River Cruise & Return to Dhaka
We begin the day by exploring the largest vegetable market in Bogra, where the vibrant local trading scene and fresh produce offer a truly authentic experience of rural commerce in Bangladesh.Next, we journey toward Sirajganj to visit the magnificent Navratna Temple, the second-largest of its architectural style in Bangladesh after the famous Kantajew Temple. This beautifully structured temple stands as a rare example of Bengal’s rich temple architecture.From there, we head to the Jamuna River for a peaceful river cruise, soaking in the scenic views and tranquil rural surroundings.On our way back to Dhaka, we make a brief stop at Karatia Zamindar House in Tangail, a historic estate that offers a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle of Bengal’s feudal past.As the journey concludes, we’ll drop you off at your preferred location in Dhaka—with your heart full of memories from an enriching and historical exploration through North Bengal.
