Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Airport Pickup and rest at Hotel

Upon your arrival, one of our guides will meet you at the airport and escort you to your designated hotel.Overnight stay at 3 star hotel at Dhaka Dhaka.

Day 2

Day 2: Old Dkha tour & Overnight Ferry to Barisal

The tour starts around 8:30 am. Our guide will pick you up from the hotel to visit the Bangladesh National Parliament.Next, we'll explore the Old Dhaka National Hindu Temple. Around 11 am, we'll be at Lalbagh Fort, dating back to the Mughal Period.After Lalbagh Fort, we'll take a rickshaw ride through the bustling Old Dhaka bazaars. Along the way, we'll stop at Star Mosque and Armenian Church. Between 12:30 and 1:00 pm, we'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.Following lunch, we'll stroll through the narrow lanes of Shakharibazar. Around 3 pm, we'll visit Sadarghat and take a boat ride to Ahsan Manzil, arriving around 3:50 pm.After exploring the magnificent Pink Palace the Dahka day tour is overLuxury Passenger Ferry at 5-6 pm from Dhaka to Barisal

Day 3

Day 3: Barisal to Bagerhat by Car - UNESCO World Heritage City

Travel to Bagerhat, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in an air-conditioned car (2-hour journey). Visit the Mosque City, formerly known as Khalifatabad, a 15th-century Muslim city.Explore the remaining mosques from the 15th-century city of Khalifatabad, including the 60 Dome Mosque, 9 Dome Mosque, Rono Bijoypur Mosque, and Singair Mosque. Visit the shrine of Khan Jahan Ali, the saint-general of Turkish origin who founded the city.Later, visit Kodla Moth, a beautiful 17th-century Hindu temple. Drive back to Mongla.Overnight stay at City Inn, Mongla.

Day 4

Day 4: Sundarbans: Harbaria Eco Park and Kochikhali

The journey begins at 6:00 am with a 1.5-hour drive to Mongla. Upon arrival, you'll transfer to our boat and head directly into the Sundarbans, having breakfast on board. Within 15 minutes, you'll be inside the forest. We'll stop at a forest station to complete formalities and then continue towards Kochikhali.We'll navigate through tiny canals and rivers that larger boats can't access due to their size and the shallowness of the canals. On this private tour in a small boat, you might spot a tiger and various wildlife if you're lucky.Stop at Harbaria Eco Park for a 30-minute walk, your first experience of the Sundarbans. Many day tours end here, but we don't recommend it.Before sunset, explore a small canal on a noiseless wooden rowboat, quietly floating in search of wildlife. Animals come to drink water in the evening and morning. Listen to birds chirping and the sounds of other animals. We'll reach Kochikhali by evening and anchor for the night.Stay overnight on the boat in a private sleeping cabin, anchored in the middle of the river in front of the Kochikhali forest station. It will be a thrilling night for you.Overnight stay on the houseboat (Private Sleeping Cabin).

Day 5

Day 5: Sundarbans: Kochikhali and Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary

Today is the busiest day on your Sundarbans itinerary.Early Morning: Start the day with a serene ride on a noiseless wooden rowboat along a canal, searching for wildlife.Breakfast: Return to the main ship for breakfast at 7:30 am.After breakfast, we will start walking towards Jamtola Beach, the quietest, nicest, and cleanest beach in Bangladesh. Enjoy beach activities for an hour and then walk to the Jamtola tourist spot. The entire walking trail is around 10 kilometers. Later, return to the main ship, which will arrive from Kochikhali through an inside canal.Lunch: Enjoy lunch on the boat and take a rest for an hour.Afternoon: Visit Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary. If the tide is high, we will have a rewarding boat ride on a nearby canal.Late Afternoon: Visit the watchtower at Kotka before sunset and sit quietly for half an hour. This is a feeding ground for animals. You will see lots of deer and other wild animals coming to eat grass and drink water. Expect some surprises!Evening: After sunset, the boat will move to another suitable forest station for the night, depending on the tide.Stay overnight on the boat in a private sleeping cabin, anchored in the middle of the river in front of the forest station.Overnight stay on the houseboat (Private Sleeping Cabin).

Day 6

Day 6: Sundarbans: Fishing Village and Crocodile Breeding Center

Early Morning: Begin the day with a peaceful boat ride on a noiseless wooden rowboat at 6:00 am, exploring a canal near the forest station.Morning: Return to the main ship by 7:30 am for breakfast. Start the return journey towards Mongla, navigating through small rivers and canals.Late Morning to Early Afternoon: Visit a fishing village and the Koromjal Crocodile Breeding Center on the way. Arrive in Mongla in the late afternoon and drive to Khulna (1.5-hour journey).Evening: If interested, enjoy an evening walk through some of the busy areas of the city.Overnight stay at Hotel City Inn, Khulna.

Day 7

Day 7: Khulna - Dhaka, Train/Car

We will leave the hotel and transfer to the Khulna railway station for the ride to Dhaka. There is time to walk around the railway station and then experience another way to travel in Bangladesh. We will travel in the first class AC compartment called Snigdha.Our train journey will start at 08:40 AM from Khulna Railway Station towards Dhaka and it’s a nine-hour long journey. You can expect to see vast vegetation beauty in the countryside, different types of harvest fields, a lot of mango orchards, litchi orchards, and other orchards. You will also see the longest steel railway bridge in Bangladesh (Hardinge Bridge) and the 6th longest bridge in South Asia (Bangabandhu Bridge), which is 4.63 km long. You will notice many local people's daily life activities.Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel.If you prefer, we can take a private car to drive back to Dhaka in 4 hours.

Day 8

Day 8: Dhaka to Srimangal (Tea Plantations, Lemon & Pineapple Orchards)

Start your day early with a pick-up from your hotel at 06:30 AM for a 7:03 AM departure on the train to Srimangal./(By Car on train Off days)Upon arrival around 12:00 PM, check in to your accommodation, freshen up, enjoy lunch, and take some time to rest.In the afternoon, embark on a delightful visit to the stunning gardens of Srimangal.Explore the lush tea gardens (Cha Bagan), lemon and pineapple orchards, rubber gardens, and the tribal village of Adibasi Gram.You may also have some free time to wander on your own and soak in the tranquil surroundings.In the evening, savor the renowned 7 Layers Tea at Nilkantha Tea Cabin.Dinner will be a special experience, either dining in at your cottage or venturing downtown to a local restaurant to taste something unique.Overnight at Srimangal (Paragon Hotel & Resort).

Day 9

Day 9: Srimangal (Wildlife of Lawachara National Park and Tribal Village)

Early morning, embark on a rewarding wildlife trek through the Lawachara National Park.Take the 3-hour trail to maximize your opportunity to see wildlife, especially the famous Hollock Gibbons.In the afternoon, visit Baikka Beel, a wetland sanctuary for migratory birds.This sanctuary is a paradise for bird lovers.Overnight stay at Srimangal (Paragon Hotel & Resort).

Day 10

Day 10: Free Morning, Srimangal – Dhaka by Train

This morning is free for you to do anything you like on your own.We depart for Dhaka at 10:31 AM on the 718 Jayantika Express or at 09:10 AM on the 774 Kalani Express.Depending on which train we take, we will arrive in Dhaka between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel in Dhaka.

Day 11

Day 11: End of Highlights of Bangladesh Holiday Tour

Relax and enjoy a convenient transfer from your Dhaka hotel to the airport for your departing flight.Say goodbye to Bangladesh and take home unforgettable memories of your Bangladesh adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bengali local food is generally spicy, featuring dishes like plain rice, vegetables, fish, and meat which are available in most restaurants. Famous dishes such as Biriyani and Khichuri, made with rice, lentils, meat, and special spices, are also popular in old Dhaka and other cities. Non-spicy food can be ordered at most restaurants if preferred. While vegan options are not very common, you will find some items on the menu. In the Sundarbans, we can arrange vegan meals if you inform us in advance.
